The ever so late review of DELL E6400

The Late review product:

Dell E6400

got this baby on Jan 2010, so yeah.. sue me!

LOOKS wise :

Dell has came up with latitude series of business Laptop for ages,

D600 D610, D630 D410, i never actually own them to test, yet i have tested them.

overall the series shows the seriousness of business style, and for E6400, they crank up with brushed up aluminium for lid cover, metal mesh for speakers & another aluminium plate as an overall base cover. Other than that i'ts all plastic.

PERFORMANCE & Spec wise:

since i got this baby, Dell has changed the specs significantly, mine came with centrino core2 duo CPU 2,53GHz, 4 GB DDR2 memory & 250 GB HDD

should you buy it now, you'll get Core I3/I5 , 4 Gig memory & probably 500Gig storage

other than that there is optional NVIDIA GPU vs INTEL HD

the rest is standard optional package:

- VGA cam

- Bluetooth (optional)

- wifi

- keyboard light

- left side :

2 USB port, 1 charge optional port, 1 combo w/ e-sata, VGA out, smartcard slot (optional reader)

HDD slot.

- right side:

DVDROM, 2 USB slot, Audio out & Mic in, Wifi switch & refresh button, PCMCIA, IE1394 connector

- back side:

Displayport, power plug, Ethernet & Modem(optional)

- inputs include pointing stick & touch pad w/ vertical /horizontal scroll:

so there you go, the specs as i pry-em from the unit.

now battery life is very good for me, 240 minutes, 300 minutes should you turn down all unnecessary functions (keyboard light, no dvd usage, low brightness setting)

keyboard bounce is extremely acceptable. other than that, all i can say is that this is a dull looking laptop should you wish to hang around with your friends, but put them on your work desk, then this will be the highlight of your worktable!.

Zenith Frontmission Papercraft

YAAAYYYYYYYY........ Sunday 13th June 2010, just finished my long forgotten long time ago bought Zenith papercraft.

for those noobs of Frontmission franchise (GEEKS.....!), Zenith is one of the exoskeleton; mecha frame twice the height of men robots that can be piloted inside. the franchise's main plot revolves around new technologies of this universe and the wars that surrounds them.

the mechas themselves are not special, but game play includes buying bodyparts, weapons, control computers and backpacks ; salvaging enemy's destroyed mechs and turnbased 3D battle simulation (3 elements on top of my gameplay wishlist), any how... check the already available titles and see for yourself. in the mean while, check the pics out.

My Disaster named "Crushed Nokia 2505 screen"

Nah...... you will not believe the myths of broken screen on cellphones.... why... who is stupid enough to whack their phone screen to a sharp object.. just for the fun of it?...... but god&%*$it

this is not always the myth with your phone screens........ alas THIS !

heh....and the visit to global teleshop across my office doesn't improve the mood either......

500K+ IDR for LCD Replacement.....for a unit that costs 600K IDR.

if I weren't in the after sales service business, they would soooo feel my wrath ........

the even more sad fact of life is that this tragedy happened upon a slight pressure while the phone were folded, as it is meant to be fold. no rubber guard on the keyboard can stop this disaster from happening........

eeegh.... what you're gonna do , rite?

this is Life....those things that pressures you even when you are doing what you're supposed to do sometimes puts cracks on you, and some amount of retribution is sometimes required to replenish you, so you can function again...... just in case you don't know the word... I'll tell you...

My Divoom I-Tour 10, SMALL POSTURE HEAVY PUNCH

My Toshiba L510 S4317 has decent speakers, the kind that doesnt give-in to my loud habits of listening music, even so this hardly beats my own built 44W Amp with premium speakers.

having this in mind and adding the mobility purpose of my laptop, i decided to browse around for speakers, with specs in mind:

-USB powered or battery powered (or no powered)

-Decent Sound

-Decent Price

-packs Neatly among my USB peripherals

after browsing around, i've got a few ideas and some of my choices includes:
-MINI MAX I; II; capsule combo !!! ( reviews are great , price is among the highest)
-Logitech USB SPeakers (crispy sound votes from reviewers, Price is Cheap)
-Minimax Clone from Divoom, the I-Tour 10 (This is what i got; half the price from Minimax)


and the Vote goes to:

if you had Minimax then you know this clone is about the same, with extendable chamber, Internal "USB Rechargeable" Battery, a 3 position volume control (off, mid,loud) , green LED Indicator.

Soundwise performance = Two Thumbs up!!!!
with some notes in mind......... i added some rubber moles at the bottom because it is actually rubber foot-less; it vibrates the desk before i added this rubber moles ...
the 3,5mm stereo audio input cable is a flimsy......
and i haven't had the slightest idea whether this is stereo or mono (it just says 360' sound!!!).
having tested this with my laptop, my office laptop & my Nokia 5220 ,there is a slight indication that the sound will gradually fills the room you're in ( as if the initial volume is lowered then raised) on both volume setting (mid & Loud).

and also I haven't test the battery life, so far 4 times of twenty minutes tests, on and off since the last charge. so we are looking at atleast 1 hour+ life on the battery.....why, thats more than enough thank you........

so be on the look out for this speakers, have a test session on the shop, just in case you wish to purchase this, and enjoy this life with better sound and more companion............ciao!
